Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Bujofy, the planning and journaling service available at bujofy.com (the "Service"). Bujofy is operated by Sandbox Labs ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Bujofy.
  • Give us accurate information, including an email address you can access. We use it to verify your account and to send you important notices.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for all activity under your account. We recommend turning on two-factor authentication in Settings.
  • If you think someone accessed your account without your permission, tell us right away at [email protected].

Subscriptions and payment

  • Bujofy is a paid service. There is no free trial: you need an active subscription to use the product, starting with your first use.
  • We offer a monthly plan and an annual plan. Current prices are shown in US dollars before you subscribe. Taxes may apply.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, for the same period length, until you cancel.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe may retry the charge, and we may suspend access to the product until the payment goes through.
  • If we change our prices, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to your subscription. The new price starts at your next renewal.

Cancellation and refunds

  • You can cancel your subscription at any time in Settings, under Billing. Canceling stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the billing period you already paid for.
  • All payments are final. We do not offer refunds or credits, including for partial billing periods or unused time, except where the law requires otherwise.
  • Deleting your account also cancels your subscription immediately, with no refund or prorated credit.

Deleting your account

  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
  • When you delete it, your subscription is canceled right away, you are signed out, and your account is deactivated. Reminders and notifications stop.
  • Your data is kept for 30 days in case you change your mind. Log in again within those 30 days to restore your account with all of its data. To keep using the product after restoring it, you need to subscribe again.
  • After 30 days, your account and all of its content are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Invoices and billing records are kept by Stripe, as tax and accounting rules require.

Your content and data export

  • You own what you add to Bujofy, such as entries, notes, collections, and habits ("Your Content").
  • You give us permission to store, process, and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you. For example, to show it in your timeline, send your reminders, or sync it with Google Calendar if you connect it.
  • You can export your data as CSV files in Settings at any time while your account exists, with or without an active subscription.

Acceptable use

When you use Bujofy, you agree not to:

  • break the law, or use the Service to store or share unlawful content;
  • access, or try to access, accounts or data that are not yours;
  • get around the security or usage limits of the Service;
  • interfere with or overload the Service, including through automated scraping or excessive requests;
  • copy, resell, or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it;
  • use the Service to send spam or malware.

Third-party services

Bujofy relies on third-party services, such as Stripe for payments and Google for the optional Google Calendar integration. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

If you connect Google Calendar, you allow Bujofy to read and update events in the calendar you choose, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect it at any time in Settings.

Changes to the Service

We keep improving Bujofy and may add, change, or remove features. If we decide to shut down the Service, we will email you at least 30 days in advance so you can export your data.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if a payment is not resolved, or if the law requires it. When we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error free, or that data will never be lost. Exporting your data regularly is a good habit.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated Terms.
